The invention provides a polypropylene composite material special for a new energy vehicle battery groove and a preparation method thereof, and belongs to the field of polymer materials. The material of the invention is an alumina ceramic fiber-reinforced polypropylene composite material. The innovation of the technical process is that an aluminate coupling agent is uniformly grafted on a surface of an alumina fiber by using supercritical CO2 as a carrier, and finally the obtained grafted material and a PP system formula system are subjected to blending extrusion through a double screw extruder. The material has the advantages of excellent balance among toughness, strength, and rigidness, melt fluidity and acid resistance. Compared with common vehicle battery groove modification PP materials (with a flexural modulus of 1200-2200 Mpa), the alumina fiber-reinforced polypropylene has a flexural modulus of up to 4500 Mpa, and has good toughness.
