Preparation of core/shell structured opacity polymer emulsion

By adopting the seed emulsion polymeric method, acrylic polymer that could be swelling by alkali being used as core and cross -linking acrylic polymer as shell synthesized a new opacity polymer that can substitute part titanium pigment. The influence of emulsifier, monomer and the proportion of core/shell to property were discussed. When the proportion of core/shell is among 1:15-1:25,the polymer has excellent covering effect.
