The invention relates to an advertisement promotion system and an advertisement promotion method based on a China mobile multimedia broadcasting (CMMB) system. The advertisement promotion method includes a first step of enabling an advertisement release center to send advertising information to a program integration platform through the internet, a second step of enabling the program integration platform to send the received advertising information to advertisement receiving terminals through the CMMB network, a third step of enabling the advertisement receiving terminals to display the received advertising information, and a fourth step of enabling the advertisement receiving terminals to feed back confirmation letters for successful reception to the advertisement release center through the internet after the advertisement receiving terminals receive the advertising information, wherein the advertisement release center regularly detects the advertisement receiving terminals which do not feed back confirmation information and reissues the corresponding advertising information to the advertisement receiving terminals without feedback of the confirmation information through the internet. The advertisement promotion system is simple in structure, easy to realize and low in cost. The advertisement promotion method is fast in updating, high in efficiency, overall in updating and capable of achieving remote updating.
