The present invention relates to a silicon oxide-carbon-polymer composite comprising: silicon-based particles; a carbon coating layer formed on the silicon-based particles; and a polymeric coating layer formed on the carbon coating layer. Since the silicon oxide-carbon-polymer composite of the present invention can exhibit long lifespan characteristics as volume expansion due to insertion of lithium ions is reduced, the silicon oxide-carbon-polymer composite can further improve the performance of a lithium secondary battery when the silicon oxide-carbon-polymer composite is included in an anode active material. Accordingly, the silicon oxide-carbon-polymer composite of the present invention may be effectively used in manufacturing an anode active material for a lithium secondary battery, and a lithium secondary battery comprising the same.
