EUV emission from a sample of late-type stars observed by the ROSAT wide field camera

1991
Abstract We have used data from the ROSAT Wide Field Camera (WFC) all sky survey to measure the EUV surface fluxes in the energy range 0.05–0.3 keV, (40–250A) of a number of magnetically active late-type stars. The preliminary results of this analysis are presented and correlations with coronal and transition region activity diagnostics are examined. We point out some difficulties in converting the instrumental count rate into an accurate flux and highlight the requirement for detailed spectral analysis of a range of late-type stars which can be used as template spectra for flux conversions.
