Student Views of Crime in Poland and the United States

1989
Students in criminology classes in both Poland and the United States were asked their opinion about causes of crime and the response to criminals in the other country. The authors performed a content analysis of those student comments. This paper reviews the responses from each group of students in the areas of “causes of crime” and “criminal justice policy”. Discussion of the comments centers on comparison of the two samples and on the way political/economic ideology may be reflected in the responses.
