The invention relates to a plastically deformable, biodegradable hemostatic agent that can be used for mechanical sealing of bleeding bone tissue, a method for forming such a plastically deformable, biodegradable haemostatic device and a medical implant comprising a coating which comprises such a plastically deformable, biodegradable hemostatic , contains the plastically deformable, biodegradable hemostatic agent of the invention (a) at least one saturated glycerol-1,2,3-tri fatty acid esters having a melting temperature of more than 37 ° C, (b) at least one at least partially present in particulate form filler having a melting temperature of more than 37 ° C and (c) at least one compound with a melting temperature of not more than 37 ° C, which has at a temperature of 25 ° C a solubility of less than 50 grams per liter of water.
