Summary Since several years increasing numbers of adolescents and young adults with extreme obesity in long-term inward obesity therapy in the Rehabilitation Centre INSULA were found to show a combination of Internet addiction, School avoiding behavior and Obesity (ISO-Syndrome). All three symptoms can be the beginning- or the endpoint in the development of the symptom. Unfortunately, the ISO-Syndrome leads to less therapeutical motivation in many cases. Therefore, it needs a specialized anamnesis and therapy to accomplish an eventual success in therapy.
