The invention relates to a carpenter's plane which comprises a wooden plane body, a planer tool rest, a pressing plate, a planer tool sheet, a planer tool sheet base plate, a planer tool sheet up-down adjusting mechanism, a planer tool sheet left-right adjusting mechanism, a front handle and a back handle. A forging production process of the carpenter's plane comprises the steps that high-quality carbon structural steel/high-quality alloy structural steel is adopted for selecting as a raw material; a high-speed disc saw is adopted for discharging; medium frequency induction heating is carried out, wherein the medium frequency is 4 KHz to 6 KHz, and the workpiece heating temperature is 1050 DEG C to 1150 DEG C; 1000T electric screw press pre-forging and final forging two-time molding is carried out; 100T punch press trimming cutoff is carried out; mesh belt furnace thermal refining is carried out, wherein the hardening temperature is 850 DEG C to 890 DEG C, and the tempering temperature is 480 DEG C to 550 DEG C; shot blasting is carried out for removing surface scale; and machining is carried out for removing forging allowance. As the high-quality carbon structural steel/high-quality alloy structural steel are adopted, machining through a forging process is carried out, and the texture strength and density of a body are improved; and through quenching heat treatment, the metallographic structure is optimized, the hardness and toughness are promoted, internal stress of the body is eliminated, and deformation after use is greatly reduced.
