Impact of integrated nutrients management on soil quality, yield and quality of Chilli (Capsicum annum L.) under inceptisol

The field experiment was conducted during Kharif 2018-2019 at farm, Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, College of Agriculture Latur. The experiment was laid out in RBD with ten treatments and three replications. The treatments T1 (control), T2 (100% RDF), T3 (125% RDF), T4 (150% RDF), T5 (100% RDF+20 kg/ha FeSO4) T6 (100% RDF+20 kg/ha ZnSO4), T7 (100% RDF+ FYM 5 t/ha), T8 (75% RDF+ Vermicompost @ 2.5 t/ha) T9, (100% RDF + Neemcake @ 2.5 t/ha) and T10 (100% RDF +Tank silt @ 5t/ ha +FYM @ 2.5 t/ha).The application of different doses of organic and inorganic fertilizer decreased the pH, EC and CaCO3. Whereas, the organic carbon was significantly increased. The maximum availability of macro, micro nutrient and Chilli yield (q ha-1) was found in 100% RDF+ Tank silt @ 5 t/ha + FYM @ 2.5 t/ha and significantly superior over rest of treatment after harvest of Chilli. The maximum yield was reported at 100% RDF+ Tank silt @ 5 t ha-1 FYM @ 2.5 t ha-1 and which was significantly superior over the rest of treatments. The maximum vitamin C (61.88 mg 100g-1) was noticed in 100% RDF + FYM @ 5 t ha-1 Whereas, Capsaicin content in Chilli. (0.29%) in T10 100% RDF+ Tank silt @ 5t ha-1 + FYM @ 2.5 t ha-1It is indicated that the application of 100% RDF+ Tank silt @ 5t ha-1 + FYM @ 2.5 t ha-1 improve the yield and pungency test of chilli.
