The Investigation of Solid-Phase Interaction of Titanium with Refractory Compounds

1982
The study of the regularities of a solid-phase interaction in the system of titanium-refractory compound is of a theoretical and practical interest, since its results can be used in various fields of metallurgy and engineering, particularly in powder metallurgy when creating titanium powder-based composite materials. The character of such an interaction governs the choice of sintering and heat treatment conditions and to a considerable extent determines the mechanism of strengthening and finally the properties of sintered titanium articles.
