Two Switching Pulse Based Hysteresis Control Circuit for Active Clamp Reset Forward Converter

2018
Forward topology is used to build a converter which supplies higher power. The Hysteresis control technique is an evolving method to control the output ripple and to improve the transient response. It reduces the complexity of feedback path by eliminating the error amplifier circuits. Using this method along with the two different switching frequencies a multiplexed gate controller is designed to achieve low output ripple, very less output overshoot. Which also minimizes the cost of the converter. The active clamp is used to reset the primary winding by absorbing the magnetizing energy. It also reduces the voltage stress on the main MOSFET. Using proposed method gating pulses for active clamp MOSFET can also be generated.
