Artificial neural networks and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system in energy modeling of agricultural products

2021
Abstract The expected yield of agricultural production is a significant factor in energy management, because it can help us in an operation like detecting and diagnosing faults, conducting system commissioning, as well as evaluating agricultural energy efficiency of a crop production system. The main aim of this study is to find a prediction method for agricultural yields from an energy point of view. Moreover, the complicated relationships between inputs and outputs are the main reason to expand the theoretical and practical background of artificial neural network (ANN) and adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems (ANFIS) in modeling energy use and predicting output energy in different agricultural products. In this chapter, the data collection process and energy analysis method of agricultural products are outlined step by step. Then designs of ANN and ANFIS models are explained in complete detail.
