Synthesis and Crystal Structure of Complex [Ni(Im)6] (CF3COO)2

The title complex [Ni (Im) 6] (CF3COO) 2 (Im=imidazole) is synthesized and characterized by means of single crystal X-ray diffraction, Fourier transformation infrared spectrometry, and 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry. Results indicate that the new compound belongs to monoclinic system of space group P21/c, with cell unit parameters: a=1.0809(2)nm, b=1.7718(4)nm, c=0.79263(16)nm, α=90°, β=96.86(3)°, γ=90°, V=1.5071(5)nm^3, Z=2, D(subscript c)=1.528Mg/m^3, μ=0.731mm^(-1), and F(000)=708. The central Ni (Ⅱ) ion assumes a typically centro-symmetric octahedral geometry.
