La curación de contenidos como competencia informacional en la formación de docentes universitarios cubanos.

In the academic world, the relevance of training and development of information competences in Higher Education has been recognized. Within these competences, several skills have been grouped as the search, selection, storage, evaluation and communication of information. In relation to the expressed, it was possible to appreciate that content curation has been valued as a tool for the management of digital content. In this sense, as a process, curating content has made it possible to filter web information related to a topic, avoiding infoxication and facilitating better access to knowledge. Taking into account the situation described above, the current research was aimed at analyzing the content curation as a decisive informational competence for the continuous training of Cuban university teachers. The research was based on the use of documentary literature review as an empirical method and documentary analysis as a technique of research. The main result reveals a theoretical systematization of the relationship between content curation and information competence, as well as the importance of both for the training of university teachers. The research offers an alternative to reduce documentary noise present on the Web; which favors the acquisition of informational competences.
