Abstract : This report describes a number of specific sample methodologies that are proposed for the investigation of the long term retention of skills. The methodologies include studies of (a) target detection; (b) mental calculation skills; (c) calculational word problems; (d) memory for item, temporal, and spatial information; (e) data entry; (f) self-generation; and (g) previously learned skills.
