A new method for recording directional traffic on forest roads

1981
To properly manage forest land areas, accurate methods for recording directional traffic are needed. A newly developed logic circuit coupled with a longitudinal arrangement of the sensing loops increases the precision of directional traffic counts on one-or two-lane forest roads. The device requires no change in the logic of the original traffic recorder, nor additional service or maintenance. This method can be accommodated to various traffic recording networks and most brands of multichannel traffic recorders.
