Effect of period of supplementation of multi-enzyme of growth performance of broilers during hot humid season

2011
The effect of period (0–2, 0–4 and 0–6 weeks of age) of supplementation of multi-enzyme on the performance, feed intake, feed efficiency, performance index and protein efficiency of broilers raised during hot humid season were studied. Two hundred and forty commercial one day old broiler chicks were randomly divided into four treatment groups each containing 60 chicks and each group was sub-divided into four replicate groups of 15 chicks each. Group T1 (control) was fed basal diet while the experimental groups T2, T3 and T4 were fed basal diet supplemented with multi-enzyme @50 gm/100 kg feed for a period of 02 (T2), 0–4 (T3) and 0–6 (T4) weeks of age, respectively. Supplementation of multi-enzyme in the ration of broilers up to six weeks of age significantly (P < 0.05) improved their weight gain, body weight. Feed conversion ratio, performance index and protein efficiency. Feed consumption did not differ significantly among variouis treatment groups.
