Preparation and Photocatalytic Properties of Rutile Titanium Dioxide Nanoparticles

We utilized sol-gel method to synthesize rutile TiO2 directly from NH3·H2O and Ti(SO4)2 at 70 ℃ temperature.According to the XRD,TEM,Raman results of the sample contains single rutile TiO2 structure.The size of the nanoparticals is approximately 20 nm.Rutile TiO2 particles have far better photodegradation efficiency on rhodamine B dyes than rutile TiO2 particles obtained by thermal treatment,but a little lower photodegradation efficiency than P25 TiO2 particles do.
