Цитологические особенности вагинальных мазков у женщин с климактерическим синдромом

2016
The investigation of blood serum hormones and cytological investigation of the vaginal mucous membrane of the intact women (first group control) and women with a severe climacteric syndrome at the age of 45-52 (average age 48±3): with menstruation (second group) and without menstruation for less than 1 year (third group) was performed. The liquid-based cytology method was used for preparation of vaginal smears; an automatic equipment with programmed regime was used for fixation and coloring of the smears. The morphological composition of the cells in the vaginal smears was characterized be the following indexes: kariopicnotic index (KPI), eosinophilic (EI), ageing index number (AIN). The study showed that in intact women after 45 years of age, the cytological curves are of a monotonous type. The value of KPI and EI are low and do not have peaks that manifest ovulatory menstrual cycle. Women with menstrual cycle having cytological syndrome, have low elevation of KPI and EI due to hyperestrogenemia, on the other hand, women without menstruation with cytological syndrome due to hyperestrogenemia have decrease of KPI and EI. Women, both with or without menstruation, have higher level of AIN compared to the intact women and marked proliferous alloeosioses of the vaginal epithelium that can be a signal to genitals hyperplasic activity.
