Оценка видов микроорганизмов, встречающихся в медицинской практике и образующих биопленки на медицинских катетерах

2018
Introduction. A significant role in the infectious process associated with the provision of medical care is played by conditionally pathogenic microorganisms already present in the patient's body. So, they are able to form biofilms on medical devices (urinary and blood catheters). Purpose of the study. In the work, samples of catheters were studied to assess the microbial landscape of the catheter surface. Мaterials and methods. Evaluation of the relative indices of the density of the biofilm on the surface of the catheters was carried out by staining with a dye crystal violet. Results and discussion. The main representatives of the microbial landscape of catheter samples of patients with diseases of the genitourinary system were bacteria: Klebsiella oxytoca, Enterobacter cloacae. From the central venous catheter in one case, the association of Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans has been identified. Mixt biofilms differed in dense structure, with a more developed glycosidic framework, with a large number of single bacterial and fungal cells, as well as the presence of complex conglomerates consisting of pseudomycelia fungal cells. Conclusion. As a result of microbiological studies, biofilms of microorganisms were detected in all types of catheters studied, both on the outer and inner surfaces.
