Enthalpies of solution of tetra-n-butylammonium bromide in methanol H/D-isotopomers at 25°c

2004
The heat effects of solution of n-Bu 4 NBr in methanol and its deuterosubstituted analogues (D-isotopomers: CD 3 OH, CH 3 OD, and CD 3 OD) were measured calorimetrically at 25°C. The standard enthalpies of solution of the salt and the relative isotope effects were calculated. The enthalpy and volumetric characteristics of solvation of stoichiometric mixtures of Bu 4 N + and Br ions in the above solvents were demonstrated to be interrelated.
