The embodiment of the invention discloses a terminal control method. The method comprises: detecting whether the terminal receives a to-be-processed event; if the to-be-processed event is received, displaying preset design information in a first preset mode; if the to-be-processed event is processed, displaying the preset design information in a second preset mode. The first preset mode and the second preset mode are pre-established different display modes. The terminal control method has the advantages that the terminal can be controlled to display preset design information in different display modes to remind a user, and therefore the usage experience of the user is improved.
