Study of the reaction K−N → Σππ between 600 and 1200 MeV/c

Abstract The total cross-sections for K − N collisions leading to Σππ final states are measured between 0.6 and 1.2 GeV/ c and the results are analysed in terms of the isospin of the Σππ and Σπ systems. An upper limit for the decay Σ (1660) → Λ (1405) π is given.
