JOB SATISFACTION AMONG WOMEN TEACHERS

The starting college "self-financing" has been set up for the last three decades, in the State of Maharashtra and other parts of India. The government does not financially support these colleges. The "job satisfaction” of teachers working in those schools is still questionable. The present study aims to investigate job satisfaction among women college professors of self-financing management & engineering colleges in Mumbai. The teachers job dissatisfaction can lead to lower participation in education. Data were collected from 120 colleges women teachers from different colleges of management & engineering self-financing in and around Mumbai by adopting random sampling technique with the main objective to assess the level of job satisfaction and propose appropriate measures to improve the level of job satisfaction. The study found that the determinants of job satisfaction indicated that among the different variables, satisfaction variables were positively related to teacher-student relationship, the implication of the use and change everything, pay role, discipline and the work environment were negatively correlated with job satisfaction among female teachers.
