It is important to distinguish from the different thyroid cancer types. These tumors have different epidemiology, risk factors, natural his- tory, and treatment. The papillary carcinoma is the most frequently thyroid carcinoma, the second in frequency is the folliculary carci- noma. We present a case of an old male patient with asymptomatic left thyroid nodule.
