The invention discloses a water ionizer capable of effectively removing heavy metals. The water ionizer comprises a purification device and an electrolysis device which are connected through a pipeline. The water ionizer further comprises a heavy metal removal device arranged between the purification device and the electrolysis device and an acidic water recycling device; acidic water generated after the electrolysis of the electrolysis device is communicated to the acidic water recycling device; the water outlet of the acidic water recycling device is connected to the purification device or the heavy metal removal device. By performing heavy metal removal treatment on the water entering the electrolysis device in advance, the potential hazards caused by heavy metal pollution are effectively removed, the safety of electrolytic raw water and the drinking safety of alkaline electrolytic water are ensured, the electrolysis device can be protected, and the service life of an electrode can be prolonged; the acidic water can be recycled and flows back to the purification device or the heavy metal removal device to be purified or electrolyzed again, so that the recovery rate of the water is increased, the utilization rate of the heavy metal removal device is increased, and the efficient utilization of water resources is realized.
