A Study on the Characteristics and Improvement of Wastewater Treatment Plant in Bio-Industrial Complex

This study aimed at providing ways to improve wastewater treatment process by diagnosing G public wastewater treatment plant receiving industrial complex effluents, mainly food and beverage manufacturers. The industrial complex discharges wastewater mainly during the daytime operation on weekdays rather the weekdays’ night and weekends. The complementary measures were required to manage manufacturers discharging wastewater exceeding effluent standards. In addition, in the process of food and beverage production, cleaning wastewater such as raw material washing water and container washing water is generated, and it lowers the concentration of wastewater by dilution. The increased back washing to remove filter cloth blockage imposed over loading on treatment plant. The deciduous leaves around the settling ponds had an adverse effect on the pump and pipes, which made it necessary to be improved efficiently.
