Smart Social Distancing and Contact Tracing System

2021
In public health, social distancing is a set of non- pharmaceutical interventions intended to prevent the spread of a contagious disease by maintaining a physical distance between people and reducing the number of times people come into close contact with each other. The project includes a low- cost system that helps people in maintaining a safe distance from each other, and in reducing surface contact. It includes an application that maintains the database of a user based on their individual Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) that sends an alert to the user when they are suspected to be a primary contact. This paper consists of a detailed explanation of system implementation and its working along with expected outcomes of the system and the technology adapted into making this system.
