The BAER and VER Latencies in Infantile Autism

Although infantile autism was first diagnosed in 1943 the etiology and neurobiology of autism could not be identifed. In our study we examined the BAER and VER latencies were within normal limits when compared with the control group. The N2 latencies of VER were significantly prolonged in autistic children when compared with the control group. The aim of this study was to identity the neurobiologic factors in infantile autism.
