Study on Preparation and Property of Electromagnetic Shielding PPS Functional Composite

In this paper,continuous basalt fiber(BF) and stainless steel fiber(SSF) reinforced Polyphenylene sulfide(PPS) prepreg tapes were prepared by powder impregnation process,and weaved into fabrics for laminated molding.Then the mechanical properties and electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of the laminates were investigated.It was found that the mechanical properties and electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of the SSF/BF/PPS laminates were better than aluminium foil/BF/PPS laminates.Shielding effectiveness of SSF/BF/PPS laminates was excellent under 200MHz,and reached a maximum when the weight content of SSF was 30%.Moreover,the shielding effectiveness was fluctuated in the region of 20~30 dB when the range of frequency from 200 MHz to 1 500 MHz.
