Developments in Vapour Compression Heat Pumps

Until recently the vast majority of vapour compression heat pumps and refrigerators worked on the Rankine Cycle and were powered by an electric motor drive. However research and development work is proceeding to enable advances to be made with this system and to investigate and exploit the potential of alternative cycles and power sources.
