A Bronchological Approach to the Regional Function Investigation

Using an apparatus of original construction we get excellent regional spirometric curves without air pollution by isotopes. Since the mixed venous blood has in all the pulmonary capillaries the same CO2 concentration, and the alveolar PACO2 is determined by the ratio \({{\dot{V}}_{A}}{{\dot{Q}}_{c}}\), it is also possible to estimate the regional perfusion independent of radiopharmacs.
