Essais de discrimination de particules chargees par la methode ionographique

1962
Abstract In order to study fragments and hyperfragments emitted in very high energy reactions, we have designed an ionographic photometer, based on the measure of a track surface for a given length (or track width). This track surface is measured by comparing the results obtained by track examination step by step, with two slits, on a projection on the track through a projection microscope. The magnification is about 4000 times, then in this case the classical mechanical errors are negligible. For calculation of a real surface we take in account the real track length and its dipping. Methodologic results of discrimination in an ILFORD G 5 emulsion for carbon, neon, and argon are given.
