Evaluation and study on probiotics effect of lactobacillus strains in vitro

2020
Eight Lactobacillus strains were selected from the laboratory probiotics library to evaluate the in vitro probiotics ability of cholesterol degradation, free radical scavenging, γ-aminobutyrate production and artificial gastrointestinal fluid tolerance. The results showed that Lactobacillus yoelii142 not only had 53.9% cholesterol degradation and 79.5% antioxidant activity, but also maintained a high survival rate in artificial gastrointestinal juice, and the change rate was only 3.6% within 2 hours. Therefore, L. yoelii142 has a good potential probiotics function, which provides important theoretical guidance for the screening, application and development of functional products of highly active direct-input starter strains.
