The beta decay of 48Mn: Gamow‐Teller quenching in fp‐shell nuclei

A new nuclide, 48Mn, has been identified and its decay has been studied, using on‐line mass separation of 12C(40Ca,p3n) reaction products. The half‐life of this nuclide was determined to be 150(10) ms, and a spectra of β‐delayed protons and γ‐rays have been obtained.’’ (AIP)
