Solidão e qualidade de vida em brasileiras vivendo em Portugal

This research has as theme, quality of life and loneliness of Brazilian women immigrants living in Portugal. It is outlined to ascertain to what extent loneliness interferes with quality of life and health of Brazilian women immigrant living in Portugal. Cross-sectional study conducted from July to September 2016 in Portugal, with 682 Brazilian immigrants over 18 years of age living in the country for more than three months. Tools used were a sociodemographic questionnaire, Loneliness Scale - UCLA and Medical Outcomes Study 36-item short-form health survey (SF-36) questionnaire. When correlating SF-36 Health and Quality of Life Scale and Loneliness Scale - UCLA, evidences point that Brazilian women immigrants who presented higher quality of life presented less loneliness. Results evidenced that quality of life and health, when in good level, can be reducers of loneliness. Quality of life and health can be reduced in situations where loneliness is preponderant. Loneliness in immigrants can interfere with their mental health, which requires vigilance.
