KRONİK MYLELOİD LÖSEMİDE KEMOTERAPİ NEDENİYLE MEYDANA GELEN ORAL ÜLSERASYON-ORAL ULCERATIONS CA USED BY THE CHEMOTHERAPY TREATMENT OF CHRONIC MYLELOID LEUKEMIA

Ozet Losemi tedavisi icin kemoterapi alan hastalarda oral mukoza komplikasyonlan gorulebilir. Kemoterapinin oral komplikasyonlan mukozit, infeksiyon, kanama, kserostomi, norolojik bozukluklar ve beslenme bozukluklaridir. Olgumuz 4 yil once kronik myeloid losemi tanisi konulan, hydroxyurea ve interferon tedavisi goren, iki yildir agiz mukozasinda rekurrent aftoz ulserler gorulen hastadir. Amacimiz kemoterapi alan hastalarda oral komplikasyonlarin onlenmesi icin dIshekim-lerinui neler yapabilecegini tartismaktadir. Anahtar sozcukler: Kronik myeloid losemi, mukozit, hydroxyurea stomatotoksite. Abstract Complications involving the oral mucosa occur in patients receiving chemotherapy for leukemia. Oral complications of chemotherapy include mucositis, infection, hemorrhage, xerostomia, neurologic disorders and nutritional disorders. Our case was diagnosed as chronic myeloid leukemia and was treated with hydroxyurea and interpheron. He has had recurrent aphthous ulcers in his oral mucosa for die lest two years. The aim of this report is to discuss what the dentist can do to prevent the oral complications in patients receiving chemotherapy.
