Compreensões de docentes de química do ensino médio a respeito da temática drogas e suas implicações na educação básica

2016
The indistinct use of drugs is a serious global public health problem. In this context, it is important to treat the issue of drugs within the school environment, in a way linked to the contents addressed in High School, in a vision of education that makes possible the understanding of scientific and social aspects on the subject. In this perspective, the present work sought to analyze the understandings of teachers of Chemistry of High School on the subject of drugs, in order to characterize how the view of these teachers on the subject can contribute to the understanding and discussion of the subject in the schools, as well as to identify Limits and possibilities in the treatment of the subject in the Basic Chemistry classes. Such understandings were apprehended through semi-structured interviews with professors of the public school network of Florianopolis. The interviews were analyzed according to the procedures of Discursive Textual Analysis and the data were discussed in the light of different theoretical references, among which the CTS (Science, Technology and Society) approach stands out. The interviewed teachers indicate the importance of treating the subject in a way that is linked to the scientific knowledge of the school, although some understandings identified among the teachers, such as the vision of neutrality when exploring the theme in the classroom, still need to be problematized
