An automatic mortising machine comprises two automatic necking devices arranged oppositely, which is characterized in that: front and rear sides of the two automatic necking devices are respectively provided with a necking front barrel conveying device and a necking rear barrel conveying device; a first vacuum chuck device is correspondingly arranged above the necking front barrel conveying device; a second vacuum chuck device is correspondingly arranged above the necking rear barrel conveying device; the first vacuum chuck device and the second vacuum chuck device are arranged on a portal frame; a translation driving device for driving the first vacuum chuck device and the second vacuum chuck device to translate is arranged on the portal frame. The automatic mortising machine realizes automatic up-and-down motion of the barrel between the two automatic necking devices, thereby replacing manual operation and improving working efficiency.
