The Annual Report As a Tool Of IR : A Comparative Study of Finnish and Swedish Companies’ Annual Reports

The annual report is the most important single IR publication for companies and at the same time the single most comprehensive package of information on a company for investors and the financial community. Based on the reality of an ever unifying Nordic-Baltic stock market this thesis studies the potential differences in annual reports of a selected group of Finnish and Swedish companies. In a unifying stock market it would appear to be important for companies operating in the market to be comparable by their annual reports as it should then be easier for foreign investors to purchase shares of foreign companies operating in the same unified market.
