Teachers’ training for inclusive education seeks to highlight some theoretical and pedagogical contributions that reveal the importance of higher education as an appropriate scenario to assess and recognize the subjects’ differences that are present in the different social and cultural environments.
The conference presents different proposals based on international and national research projects, such as experiences related to the assistance to diverse populations; when training teachers assist these populations. in here, for example, the teachers study the recognition of the other, the assumption of what is normal or abnormal, inclusion as a right, learning to live with differences, care about the other, and the need to contemplate conceptual, pedagogical, investigative and attitudinal aspects to welcome people who are different to us. The difference is assumed as a value and not as an obstacle.
