Bis(3-methyl-1,3-thiazolinylidene)gold(I) Trifluoromethanesulfonate

The structure of [Au(C 4 H 5 NS) 2 ]CF 3 SO 3 displays essentially linear cationic gold(I) units [C11-Au-C21 175.8(7)°]. These linear cations are aggregated through alternating Au...Au interactions [3.1926(11) and 3.4830 (10) A] to form chains of Au atoms parallel to the c axis.
