[Effect of hyperlipidemia on the activity of renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system in patients with chronic cardiac insufficiency].

The article considers the interaction between total lipid level in blood plasma and the activity of renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) in patients with chronic cardiac insufficiency (CCI) associated with ischemic heart diseases (IHD). It was established that the activity of RAAS depends not only on the severity of the disease but also relates to the total lipid level in blood plasma of such patients. RAAS is observed more expressed in patients with hyperlipidemia than those with normal total lipid level. These data prove the neuroendocrine system regulation to be involved with lipid metabolism in CCI formation associated with IHD.
