Guniting the lining of oxygen-blown converters

A technology was developed for the semidry guniting of the 130-ton oxygen-blow converters of the Krivorozhstal' Plant with a magnesia gunite mix containing a carbon—silicate binder. Guniting resulted in an increase in the campaign by 56 melts on average at a gunite consumption of 0.25 kg/ton of steel.
