Beidou 1 pps corrected by high-precision crystal oscillator for PMU

The feasibility of applying Beidou satellite navigation system to wide-area synchronous PMUs(Phasor Measurement Units) in China is analyzed from the coverage of satellite signal,timing precision,amount of users,etc.Beidou 1 pps(one pulse per second) signal exists big random error but not accumu-lative error;the high-precision crystal oscillator clock signal has not random error,and its accumulative error is also very small in a short time.According to these,a mathematical model of errors is established,and an online correction method is presented for Beidou 1 pps random errors by high-precision crystal oscillator.The corrected second pulse can provide precise time tags for PMUs.
