An approach to standardizing the water chemistry of the secondary coolant circuit of a nuclear power station with VVER-1000 reactors
1998
An approach to standardizing the indexes of the water chemistry of the secondary coolant circuit of a nuclear power station with VVER-1000 reactors is considered. This approach is based on calculating the pH at the working temperature of the coolant as a function of the concentrations of the standardized admixtures. It is shown that the water chemistry of the steam generators can be organized using the ratio of the sodium concentration to the electric conductivity of an H-cationized sample of the blowdown water. The restrictions (level of action) for deviations of the standardized indexes from recommended values under normal operating conditions are described.
