Method and apparatus for producing coated on both sides paper webs

A method for producing coated on both sides of paper webs, having the following method steps: a) first applying a liquid to the paper web indirectly by being guided by at least one (formed by a roll and a counter-element) coating gap, after which drying the web; b) thereafter only the coated side of the web a coating composition directly and in excess, whereafter the excess coating composition is removed by means of a doctor blade member; the web is thereafter dried again; c) finally is applied only to the other side of the web coating composition directly and in excess, whereafter the excess coating slip is removed by a doctor blade and then the web is dried again d) characterized in that either the indirect application of liquid to the at least one application nip either applying coating composition (for the preparation of so-called MWC paper) or Leimsuspension applying (producing so-called LWC papers).
