The invention relates to a dust container (130) for a vacuum cleaner (100). The vacuum cleaner (100) has a receiving device (120) for receiving the dust container (130). The dust container (130) is formed to be movable along a translation axis between an outer position outside of the receiving device (120) and an insertion position within the receiving device (120). Also, the dust container (130) is formed to be rotatable in the insertion position by one with respect to the translational axis within a tolerance range orthogonal axis of rotation between the insertion position and a locking position in which the dust container (130) in the receiving device (120) is locked.
