The Structural Characteristics of ZnO Nanorods for Flexible Gas Sensor Grown by Hydrothermal Method

We study the characterization of ZnO nanorods for the fabrication of new types of flexible gas sensors. However, the crystal structure of the amorphous as well as the surface morphology of polyestersulfone (PES) substrate is poor. Therefore, we introduced a ZnO buffer layer to facilitate ZnO nanorods growth. Furthermore, in order to control characteristic on the growth of ZnO nanorods, we grew ZnO nanorods on PES in various growth conditions. Additionally, we analyzed the structural characteristics using XRD, FE-SEM for the fabrication of flexible gas sensors.
